The Luxury Car Recalls of December

When a car manufacturer discovers a dangerous flaw in one of their vehicles, they have the obligation to report it. Even luxury cars can come with glitches that need to be fixed. According to Motor Authority, Lamborghini recently had to recall their Aventador, which was formerly one of the top cars in this world of fast and furious high-priced vehicles. Consumers reported problems with the headlights in the vehicle, so all models were recalled for repair. Men and women who own Lamborghini Aventador’s can take the car to their nearest dealer to receive a repair and get back out on the road. Without properly working headlights, a car may be invisible on a dark road, and the driver may not be able to navigate in unlighted areas.
In addition to the Lamborghini recall, those who own a Porsche GT3 may also prepare to take their car to the shop. The German sports cars from 2010 were recalled when researchers noted that there were flaws in the rear wheels. The flaws heighten the risk of a crash in this high-end car. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the vehicle’s rear wheel hubs are prone to failure in certain driving situations. Porsche admitted that their maintenance schedule does not provide enough attention to the problem to preempt a crash.
If the rare wheel hub breaks while the car is in motion, chances are that it would cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle. In a moment, this high-priced sports vehicle could spin out and crash into others on a highway. While only 455 cars are included in the recall, it is important that you check to make sure that yours is not one of them. If you fail to take your car in for an inspection, you may end up in a devastating crash because of this product mistake. Porsche says that they will replace the wheel hubs free of charge and the company is also revisiting its service interval specifications. They believe that more frequent check-ups will help the cars to operate smoothly.
Another expensive car recall was recently listed by Mercedes-Benz. The recall involves a broad range of vehicles that were manufactured in 2011 and 2012. Apparently all of the cars have the same problem: a risk for fuel leaks. According to The Wall Street Journal, all of the vehicles have the potential to leak fuel, which can then lead to fires when the fuel makes contact with an open flame. All it takes is dripping fuel and a lighted cigarette to send one of these luxurious and expensive cars up in flames. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the recall affects about 5,800 vehicles all throughout the U.S. Included in the recall are the C300 4Matic and E350 Sedans. As well, those who own an S400, S550, S63 AMG, GLK350 4Matic Crossover, GLK350, CL63 Coupe, CL550 4Matic, or a GLK350 4Matic Crossover may want to take their cars in for service.
All of these Mercedes-Benz cars have issues that stem from an irregularity in the molding process for the fuel filter flange. The flanges were created with an incorrect shape and inputed into many cars that were sold last year. As a result, the filter flange has a tendency to crack when the car is being operated at high temperatures. This can cause the fuel to leak. Because this often happens when the car is at a high temperature, there is potential that the fuel could ignite and cause a devastating explosion. If your car is included in this recall, then Mercedes-Benz has agreed to replace the filter free of charge. Whenever you are involved in a car accident that stems from a luxury car manufacturing error, there is a possibility that you have the right to sue. You will want to talk to a car accident attorney in your area to explain your situation and determine whether or not you deserve compensation for your pain and suffering. If you can prove that a car manufacturer was at fault for your accident, chances are that you will be able to obtain the financial compensation that you deserve.
