New York Accident Claims the Life of Mother and Daughter

In Green, New York, on Monday, August 29^th, a car accident tragically took the life of a mother and daughter. It has been reported that 29-year-old Amanda Demuth was driving with her two children north on Stillwater Road when a car from the oncoming traffic crossed over into her lane.

The oncoming car, driven by 70-year-old Herbert Corey, was travelling south when, for unknown reasons, it switched lanes. His car thus drove head-on into Amanda's – putting both her and her two children, Gavin and Amara, straight into the path of danger.

Following the head-on collision, the Chenango County Medical Examiner was called to the scene of the accidents. After arriving, Dr. John Cruz announced that Amanda and six-year-old Amara were dead. Gavin was immediately taken to the local Wilson Hospital to receive medical attention.

Corey was not injured in the accident, however, as there are no definitive conclusions regarding the cause of the accident no criminal charges have been made.
