Missionary Killed in Two-Car Collision

A 22 year old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from Tucson,
Arizona was killed Tuesday in the upstate
New York town of
Lisbon on state Route 37. Her companion, a missionary from Hemet, California, and the driver of the other were hurt in the crash but their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. The other driver was not a missionary.
According to police, the car carrying the two missionaries was attempting to make a left-hand turn when the other vehicle struck the passenger side of their vehicle. It was a direct hit. An LDS spokesperson stated the girl who was killed had been serving as a missionary for thirteen months at the time of the incident.
